can chickpeas, drained and rinsed

lime juice

olive oil

Instructions
In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, chopped jalapeño, lime juice, olive oil, minced garlic, and cumin.
Blend until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, gradually add water tablespoon by tablespoon until you reach your desired consistency.
Taste the hummus and season with salt as needed; blend again to incorporate.
Once the hummus is smooth and creamy, transfer it to a serving bowl.
Garnish with a drizzle of olive oil and chopped fresh cilantro if desired.
Notes
Adjust the spiciness by adding more or less jalapeño.
