Ingredients

1 pound bulk breakfast sausage

1 cup onion, diced

1 cup bell pepper, diced (red or green)

1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough

6 large eggs

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon salt

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and set aside.

In a large skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Make sure to crumble the sausage as it cooks. Drain excess grease if necessary.

Add the diced onion and bell pepper to the skillet with the sausage, and sauté until the vegetables are softened, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Cut the biscuit dough into quarters and spread them evenly on the bottom of the greased baking dish.

In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt together until well combined.

Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese over the biscuit pieces in the baking dish, followed by the sausage and vegetable mixture. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the top.

Finally, sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the casserole.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.

Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before slicing into squares. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for an added touch.

                    Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 50 minutes | Servings: 8

                      - Presentation Tips: Serve the casserole warm on a large platter, garnished with additional parsley. Accompany with hot sauce or your favorite condiment for added flavor.
